This book depicts the history of six generations of the Hanna family on Pass Ranch, along the Wamaduze and North Loup valleys, in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. The story begins with the patriarch of the family, John Milton Hanna arriving in Nebraska, with his brother Jim, on April 10, 1883. It is a chronical of the history of the Sand Hills and the multi-generational impact of the Hanna family on the development of ranching in that region.
